Sensei Igor Vakoš, 5th Dan

Chief Instructor of TOGKF Slovakia

Sensei Igor has been practicing martial arts since 1991. He started with Goju Kai Karate and
already there he became fascinated with the beauty and variety of weapons.

During his study at university, in addition to intensive study and Karate training, he also
trained in Aikido, Iaido, Ju Jutsu and to some extent Tai Chi and Qi Gong. Since 2000, he
has been working as an instructor in his own Karate Dojo, conducting seminars and
trainings. In 2003 he starts systematically training Gendai Kobudo in which he possess 3.
Dan. Since 2009, there has been intensive cooperation with the World Oshukai Federation, and Sensei Igor is also the Chief Instructor of the WOF Okinawa Kobudo in Slovakia.

Currently he is 4. Dan of Okinawa Kobudo graded by Sensei Chinen Kenyu.
In 2004, he began practicing traditional Okinawan Goju Ryu under the leadership of the
IOGKF organization. He was graded to Shodan and Nidan directly by Higaonna Sensei.
From 2007 to 2022, he was the official representative and later Chief Instructor of the IOGKF in Slovakia. After the forming of TOGKF organization, he decides to follow his mentors and Senseis, Higaonna Sensei, Bakkies Sensei and Raoul Sensei and joins TOGKF. From 2023 is Sensei Igor the TOGKF Chief Instructor for Slovakia.

He continues to train regularly under Sensei Raoul Vogel and participates in Karate and
Kobudo seminars around the world under the guidance of world-renowned instructors and
masters. He passes on his knowledge at trainings and seminars throughout Slovakia.
